Special Varieties
Our Harvest
If you would like to be notified of when crops are in season, you can sign up for our newsletter.
Apples For Pies
We recommend the Cortland, Northern Spy and the Lobo for baking pies as they remain as slices and are less watery when cooked.
Apples For Apple Sauce
We recommend McIntosh as it gets mushy when cooked, being tart it has a lot of flavour although you may want to add brown sugar.
Apples For Storing
The apples that are ready later in the fall will keep the best, such as Empire, Spartan, Russet.
